Ezio, our great Assassin adventurer is not finished with his journey just yet. It was confirmed today after weeks of consternation and rumor that Ubisoft was releasing a fourth installment to their popular Assassin’s Creed title.
It was revealed that our hero, Ezio Auditore, will take yet another journey to a far away land. This time to the fabled capital of the Eastern Roman and Byzantine Empires, the great city of Constantinople. His task, to follow Altair and to once and for all lift the shroud of mystery around the relationship between the Templar’s and the Assassin’s.
It was also announced that multiplayer will be resurrected with additional maps, modes, and characters. This feature was last seen in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Players will also have more power over the Animus and will be able to manipulate Desmond’s memories more throughly to unravel more mysteries of Ezio’s past and future.
Ubisoft is describing Assassin’s Creed Revelations as the last in the line of the Ezio trilogy. Effectively ending the storyline and opening the door for a new story arch in the future. The game is planned for a major reveal at the E3 game conference next month in June and should hit stores this November.
