News – Valve plans Portal 2 DLC For Summer

<p>The verdict is in folks&comma; <em>Portal 2<&sol;em> is awesome and gamers love it to death but the game is too damn short&period; I know personally I beat the game in about a day and although I was pleased with myself that I beat the game so quickly a part of me was left needing more&period; Don&&num;8217&semi;t me get me wrong&comma; what the game lacked in length it more than made up for with witty humor and an addictive storyline&period; It turns out I&&num;8217&semi;m not alone&comma; a lot of gamers have been complaining that the game is a bit short&period; So&comma; when rumors broke that Valve might be working on a DLC for <em>Portal 2 <&sol;em>many gamers like myself got real excited because there&&num;8217&semi;s nothing better than a DLC to make a game better&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; center&semi;"><img class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2429" title&equals;"portal2-scene" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2011&sol;04&sol;portal2-scene&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"434" height&equals;"272" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It&&num;8217&semi;s not an official announcement&comma; but During an interview with <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;fastcompany&period;com&sol;1750003&sol;portal-2-valve-eric-wolpaw-jeep-barnett-doug-lombardi" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noopener noreferrer">Fast Company<&sol;a>&comma; Valve&&num;8217&semi;s VP of Marketing spilled the Beans that Valve is working on expansion packs &lpar;DLC&rpar;&period; The VP was quoted&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; center&semi;">&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;-<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; center&semi;"><strong>&&num;8220&semi;We will be announcing some DLC for it&comma; so folks can keep a look out for more content coming this summer&period; We&&num;8217&semi;ll be putting more details out about that in a week or so&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; center&semi;"><strong>&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;&&num;8212&semi;-<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>More details should be flooding out in the next couple of weeks&period; We should also anticipate a more formal announcement and marketing then too&period; But it looks like we should see a <em>Portal 2<&sol;em> DLC hit  Xbox 360&comma; PS3&comma; and Steam this summer&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p style&equals;"text-align&colon; center&semi;"><img class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2430" title&equals;"Portal&lowbar;2&lowbar;610x343" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2011&sol;04&sol;Portal&lowbar;2&lowbar;610x343&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"434" height&equals;"272" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Portal 2<&sol;em> is already being heaped with praise from gamers and critics alike&period; It&&num;8217&semi;s received a <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;uk&period;pc&period;ign&period;com&sol;articles&sol;116&sol;1162215p1&period;html" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noopener noreferrer">9&period;5 rating at IGN<&sol;a>&comma; a 9&period;0 at GameSpot&comma; and it looks like it might be in the running for the coveted <em>Game of the Year<&sol;em> award&period; The release of a DLC only stands to increase the games standing amongst gamers and critics while also increasing it&&num;8217&semi;s value and quality in the long run&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Details are still short on the contents of the DLC but rumor has it that it will contain new single player content as well as additional Co-Op content&period; As a huge Valve fan&comma; a Half-Life player&comma; and now a <em>Portal 2<&sol;em> convert I can&&num;8217&semi;t wait for the DLC&period; Stay tuned for more news&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
