New downloadable content is now available for Ninja Gaiden 3 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Two packs are now available; the Infamous Falcon’s Talons is an addition to the single-player campaign and Metal Claws is for use in the multiplayer modes. There is also the Ninja Trials pack which contains additional equipment and a new multiplayer state. On April 24th, an all new difficulty, titled Ultimate Ninja, will be available. The DLC is offered individually or all together in the Ninja Pack 1.

The Falcon’s Talons DLC offers a new weapon for game protagonist, Ryu Hayabusa, to use in the story mode and also contains a new level for the online Clan Battle mode. The level cap has also been increased.

The Falcon’s Talons were developed in the Hayabusa Village and were used by Ryu during Ninja Gaiden 2. As the name implies, the weapons are customized gauntlets with steel claws that are worn on the hands and feet, with the claws being modeled after its name-sake. The talons are designed for quick combos with multiple hits and kicks.

The added difficulty, Ultimate Ninja, is designed to test even the most seasoned Guiden player. Starting April 24th, the added difficulty for the single-player campaign will be free to download for a month.
