During the Nintendo Direct event today, Nintendo took the time to promote the upcoming game, Xenoblade Chronicles X. Xenoblade Chronicles X, which is due for release on December 4th, 2015, will launch along with a series of four data packs–digital packs which will decrease loading times during gameplay.
Players who purchase a digital copy of the game will not need to download these data packs, as they will come pre-installed. Consumers who purchase a physical copy will need to download these data packs and apply them upon initial start up of the game. Players may pre-purchase and pre-download these data packs today to expedite the process upon purchase.
While Nintendo made a point of stating that the data packs were “not required” for gameplay in Xenoblade Chronicles X, a game which has been noted as having an extraordinarily large in-game map, they were “highly recommended;” particularly one of the four packs named Basic Pack.
