Nintendo, during their Nintendo Direct event today, announced a bonus for consumers who pick up a copy of Pokken Tournament for Wii U during its first production run: a Shadow Mewtwo Amiibo card. Along with a new trailer for the game which featured Shadow Mewtwo, the team at Nintendo announced that players would receive a Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card, which would give them access to Shadow Mewtwo from the beginning of the game, as opposed to much later in the game when Shadow Mewtwo is typically available.

Pokken Tournament is a new video game built between the Pokemon Company and Bandai Namco, makers of the Tekken franchise. The game will incorporate Pokemon characters into the classic Tekken fighting format of gameplay.

Pokken Tournament is set for release in Spring of 2016 for the Wii U.
