We revealed earlier this week that Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon would include multiplayer elements, as revealed by the games official website hosted by Nintendo themselves.

Today we received better clarification of what the multiplayer modes in the game which actually consist of and it seems that Luigi fans are finally going to have something to call home about seeing as this is much more than a multiplayer minigame element added on top of the main game.

“Hunter Mode” sees up to four players (local play, each needing their own copy of the game unfortunately) control a different colour Luigi and they are challenged to locate and hunt down ghosts on each floor before a timer reaches zero.

After you complete numerous floors (of which you can select to do five, ten or twenty-five) you reach a boss battle at the top of a tower. What makes this mode even more exciting is that bonuses and upgrades can be earned as you progress as well as the ability to adjust difficulty and revive teammates in order to keep the fun going!

Will you be trying out the multiplayer mode in Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon ?
