Nintendo’s announced that two generations of its eShop download platform will be undergoing some significant maintenance next week.

The repair work – which is relatively common – will take place over seven hours of downtime, so make sure you’ve done your shopping by Dec. 1st or plan on waiting. The times are of the disruption are as follows for the U.S. and UK:

From Monday, Dec. 1st at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm UK / 7pm CET until Monday 1st December at 5:15pm Pacific / 8:15pm Eastern / 1:15am UK (02/12) / 2:15am CET (02/12)

The services affected include both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShops along with the Wii Shop and Nintendo DSi Shop. Given the regular occurrence of such maintenance, it can be expected that the store to be back up without much problem.
