In a move that nobody saw coming, Nintendo is reported looking into releasing software to allow companies to port iOS software onto the Wii U console. Is this a smart business move for Nintendo to shift more consoles into homes or a sign of things to come?
According to a “company source” who spoke to the Osaka Times, Nintendo is offering “professional-use conversion software” to game developers thus allowing them to easily port titles to the Wii U even if they have only been created for iOS devices such as the iPhone or iPod Touch.
