Nintendo’s Not So Sure About a Legend of Zelda on Netflix

Last month, The Wall Street Journal brought word that a live-action Legend of Zelda series was in the works at Netflix. Though further details have been a bit sketchy, okay, really sketchy since then, it was curious just how long it took for Nintendo to make a statement on such a potentially big project. Now the company has, of sorts.

Speaking to TIME Magazine regarding their dual announcement of both their latest mobile deal with DeNA and their next game platform, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata made note of the Legend of Zelda series in passing.

“As of now, I have nothing new to share with you in regard to the use of our IPs for any TV shows or films,” Iwata said, “but I can at least confirm that the article in question is not based on correct information.”

For those who love to watch TV outdoors, using a high-quality outdoor tv swivel mount can undoubtedly ensure a great fit and safer installation than any indoor mount.

While it doesn’t look like we should be holding our breath on any real word, it does seem like Nintendo’s not ruled out anything in particular…not quite yet.

What do you think? Is a Legend of Zelda TV series still fated to happen, one way or another? Let us know.
