Nintendo opens “Camp Miiverse,” begins with Wii Sports Club challenge

<p>Nintendo created a special &&num;8220&semi;<a title&equals;"Camp Miiverse" href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;miiverse&period;nintendo&period;net&sol;titles&sol;14866558073351808347&sol;14866558073351808354">Camp Miiverse<&sol;a>&&num;8221&semi; community today&comma; encouraging users of the social media platform to participate in virtual challenges&period; According to <a title&equals;"Tom" href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;miiverse&period;nintendo&period;net&sol;titles&sol;14866558073351808347&sol;14866558073351808354">Tom<&sol;a>&comma; the man responsible for most of the service&&num;8217&semi;s announcements&comma; players can check back every Monday&comma; Wednesday&comma; and Friday over the next few weeks to find a different challenge taken from a specific Miiverse-enabled title&period; To take credit for the challenge&comma; players will have to take a screenshot of the achievement in-game and post it to the title&&num;8217&semi;s community&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><a title&equals;"Today's challenge" href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;miiverse&period;nintendo&period;net&sol;posts&sol;AYMHAAACAADMUKl4BMXDlQ">Today&&num;8217&semi;s challenge<&sol;a> is to hit a home run in Wii Sports Club Baseball&period; After taking a picture of their accomplishment&comma; players must choose from either a &&num;8220&semi;Team Mario&&num;8221&semi; or &&num;8220&semi;Team Zelda&&num;8221&semi; tag&period; The challenge runs until this Sunday&comma; 7&sol;20&comma; at 11&colon;59&comma; so knock one out of the park while there&&num;8217&semi;s still time &&num;8212&semi; as Tom is quick to point out&comma; Wii Sports Club is available as a free timed demo from the Nintendo eShop in case you haven&&num;8217&semi;t purchased the full version yet&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It&&num;8217&semi;s worth noting that the challenges posted every Monday and Wednesday will only be good that day only&comma; while events posted on Friday will always run through the weekend&period; It&&num;8217&semi;s certainly nice to see Nintendo engaging their faithful users&comma; so hopefully plenty of Wii U and 3DS owners will participate as the weeks go on&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Will you be picking up your Wii U GamePad to swing for the fences this weekend&quest; What other games would you like to see get the Camp Miiverse treatment&comma; and what challenges would you pick from them&quest; Let us know in the comments below&excl;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;
