Nintendo Provides More Details on My Nintendo Loyalty Program

Nintendo has shed some much needed light on the particulars of the My Nintendo loyalty program launching alongside Miitomo in the coming days.

My Nintendo will allow you to acquire Gold and Platinum points, colours once used in the Club Nintendo program, by completing various tasks on your mobile device.

You will earn Platinum points for completing weekly or daily activities in the Miitomo app, which will likely extend to future mobile games developed by Nintendo. You will also be able to acquire Platinum points by signing in to Miiverse, the Nintendo eShop, or by linking social network accounts. Gold points can only be earned by purchasing digital Nintendo titles.

Earned Platinum and Gold points can then be used towards things like full game downloads, 3DS themes, discounts, and further items in Miitomo. Here is a full listing of the “Missions” you will need to complete to reap the benefits of the My Nintendo program:

The Japanese Nintendo site even reveals the rewards on offer, as reported by IGN via Siliconera:

As with Nintendo’s previous loyalty program, My Nintendo may impose region-defined differences between the rewards offered–the rewards listed may not apply when the service launches here in North America.

Let us know if you’ve already preregistered to earn platinum points on day one of Miitomo’s launch later this month.
