<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Nintendo has explained how both the Falco and Fox amiibo can be used in the upcoming shooter, </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Star Fox Zero</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Falco amiibo unlocks the Black Arwing, which is said to have “more powerful weapons but weaker defences.” It’s supposed to be for gamers hungry to challenge their fly-and-shoot capabilities. Another amiibo feature, this one confirmed </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">by Shigeru Miyamoto, is the ability to tap the Fox amiibo to the Wii U GamePad to <a href="http://time.com/4245215/starfox-wii-u/" target="_blank">unlock a retro arwing</a> based on the SNES Star Fox game.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When we last reported on amiibo support in </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Star Fox Zero</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, we said that Nintendo had to scrap plans to create a <a href="https://bagogames.com/star-fox-zero-not-receiving-accompanying-arwing-amiibo/" target="_blank">transforming Arwing amiibo</a>.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Although it would have been fun to own an amiibo with these features, at least we know we will be getting a <a href="https://bagogames.com/invincible-arwing-announced-star-fox-zero/" target="_blank">challenging </a></span><a href="https://bagogames.com/invincible-arwing-announced-star-fox-zero/" target="_blank"><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Star Fox game</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in just a few short weeks on April 22nd.</span></p>
