<p>So after the six years of buying your favorite retro games on your Nintendo Wii, as soon as you heard that those said games wouldn&#8217;t be playable on your GamePad a little piece of your heart shattered. Don&#8217;t deny it, we all shared the same sorrow as we realised that none of us would be able to watch re-runs of Desperate Housewives whilst enjoying some Ocarina of Time on the coach&#8230; (Didn&#8217;t we?)</p>
<p>Well don&#8217;t worry fellow gamers as Nintendo has your back, talking to Kotaku, the company have revealed that it is <em>&#8220;moving ahead with development of Virtual Console for Wii U.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>The company later confirms that we will be able to use the GamePad alone to enjoy virtual console games by stating:</p>
<p><em>&#8220;We plan to make it so you can play it on the Wii U GamePad alone.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Happy days? What will be the first retro game you play on your GamePad!?</p>
