This year’s E3 really was a showstopper. Upcoming releases from all three major console companies have rocked video game fans all across the world. There’s a little something for everyone in the lineup, including old favorites for us old school gamers that we never thought would see a sequel or a remake.
In fact, if you made a bingo card of “games we’d most like to see get a sequel or an update”, you could have shouted bingo a lot. Here’s what I’m looking forward to from E3 2015:
Final Fantasy VII Remake: I have to be honest, I’m still holding out on an update to Final Fantasy VI. However, if Square Enix can pull off their remake of Final Fantasy VII, it could put the franchise back on the map. If it goes bad, the whole franchise could be as forgotten as Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (remember that?)
Star Fox Zero: Another blast from the past! There hasn’t been a new Star Fox game in over a decade. Nintendo seems to be playing it safe with this update by keeping the core gameplay, while adding in ship transformations to allow land missions. One thing is for sure, I’m looking forward to doing barrel rolls after so long.
Shenmue III: You had to be one of the lucky ones to have a Dreamcast to play the first Shenmue. Xbox players got to play the second (and thankfully could get a story recap). Now, creator Yu Suzuki has announced that he will make Shenmue III, if the fans supported his $2 million Kickstarter campaign. As of this writing, the Kickstarter has made $3,333,471 with 28 days to go. Sony has also agreed to offer funding to the campaign.
Which games are you looking forward to from E3? Let us know in the comments!
