A physical edition of the popular indie skateboarding game, OlliOlli, will be hitting store shelves on August 9th. Complete with both OlliOlli and OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood, the retail edition will go for $29.99 and launch exclusively in North America on PlayStation 4. It will be titled OlliOlli: Epic Combo Edition and include several pieces of exclusive content.
The OlliOlli: Epic Combo Edition comes with several making-of featurettes that detail the behind-the-scenes of the game making process, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with members of Roll7 and Badland Games. For those wondering what the retail version includes that digital copies won’t, there is a full colour booklet that will feature art and commentary from the developers about the OlliOlli series. What makes the package extra special is it includes the full soundtrack from OlliOlli 2, which is one of my favourite soundtracks of last year.
In fact, if you have not played these games yet, this is a pretty good reason to jump aboard. The first game is really hard to go back to once you’ve played the second game, but that’s only because it has the same progression as the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series did when it went from THPS1 to THPS2. That second game is a ton of fun and has some extremely difficult challenges for those who are willing to put in the time to get better.
