<p>Nintendo have announced that the original Nintendo Wii console has finally passed 100 million units in global life-to-date sales, this was thanks to a fairly successful April-June quarter although the Wii U did worse than the original Wii console during this time.</p>
<p>The Nintendo Wii console has also contributed to more than 872 million games sold to date with Mario Kart Wii being the best selling non-bundled title selling 34.26 million copies since launch.</p>
