‘Ouija’ and ‘Wick’ Win Box Office

On the slow last weekend before Halloween, it’s the perfectly timed horror movie that reigns supreme. Ouija, the new horror picture based on the board game, brought in a decent $20,006,000 gross for the weekend box office. The new Keanu Reeves action movie, John Wick, was not far behind with a $14,150,000 gross. Also worth noting is the Bill Murray comedy, St. Vincent, which expanded this weekend and jumped all the way from #15 to #6 in the box office. Check the full top 10 below.

Next week is mostly gonna be a throw-away week with the re-release of the original Saw, a quiet thriller Before I Go To Sleep and the bombastic Jake Gyllenhaal crime drama Nightcrawler. None of these new films are opening in anymore than 2,800 theaters so don’t expect a huge change in the box office for Halloween weekend.
