Outlast 2 was delayed not too long ago, pushed from its 2016 release date into 2017. The sequel to the popular horror game is not going to let Halloween slip by without giving fans a taste of the terror awaiting them, though. Red Barrels announced today that a demo for the game, which has been shown around several conventions throughout the year, is going to be available today for free. So if you have a PS4, Xbox One or Steam, keep an eye out for the demo which should be available sometime today.
The demo unfortunately will only be available to download until November 1st, so make sure to grab it while you can. In lieu of a P.T. for this year, an Outlast 2 demo will do just nicely. Combine that with the Resident Evil 7 demo and you’ve got a great night of horror awaiting you.
For those unaware of Outlast 2, it follows two investigative journalists as they delve deep into the investigation of a murder only to find themselves entrenched in corruption and darkness. As Red Barrels second entry in the Outlast series, the game looks to scare and frighten players much like the original. The demo is only the beginning of Red Barrels’ promotion for the game as they intend to reveal more features and environments as the release date gets closer.
Outlast 2 will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Q1 2017.
