Red Barrels – the ten-man indie studio made up of industry veterans – has announced that their survival horror title, Outlast, will be coming to PC (via Steam) on September 4th for $19.99.
Outlast puts players in the role of reporter Miles Upshur, as he ventures into Mount Massive Asylum and soon finds himself running (and hiding) for his life, while also discovering the truth surrounding the building.
According to the announcement from Red Barrels, ‘players will be in for a true derangement of the senses this September, where fainting may be the only way to escape.’
Considering how much of a wuss I am, Outlast will be the kind of game I try to push onto other people, while I sit in a corner and watch.
