Namco’s famous mascot Pac-Man has been revealed as the latest third party character to join the Super Smash Bros. franchise. The announcement came at the Smash Bros. developer roundtable which Sakurai hosted at E3. Being that Namco is helping with the development of the game, the inclusion of Pac-Man makes a lot of sense.
The reveal also gives a lot more credence to the character rumour from gaming site Gematsu. So far the site has revealed Wii Fit Trainer, Mii, Villager, Little Mac, Mega Man and Palutena all before their official announcements. The site has also rumoured Shulk from Xenoblade, Chrom from Fire Emblem: Awakening and Chorus Men from Rhythm Heaven. It seems likely that these characters will also appear in the final game.
