WZ_Screenshot00The biggest gaming fan expo in the Northeast just concluded and this year was as big, if not bigger, than year’s past. There were lots of different games to play on the show floor. Games ranged from the Triple A studios to games made in a van. Somewhere in the middle lies Proletariat who are making their first game called World Zombination. While this is their first game, this team is made of past members of such studios as Turbine, Harmonix and Insomniac Games. With that pedigree, you wouldn’t fault many if you thought this team might be working on the next MMO or music game but instead they’ve decided to tackle a faction-based strategy game.

World Zombination takes place on a global scale in a shared persistent world where cities are constantly under siege. On the world map, players can choose such locations as London, Hong Kong, Boston, New York, etc. As far as cities and missions you could choose from, the options seemed to be vast. There are two factions that a player can choose from in World Zombination. Players can either play as the Infected or the Survivors. The Infected are zombies and they occupy certain cities, while the Survivors are humans who are trying to hold off the hordes of zombies by controlling the city.
