Earlier this year, Atari announced that they are returning to their famous survival horror franchise with Alone in the Dark: Illumination. At this year’s PAX Prime, the publisher gave us our first look at the game with a short teaser trailer.
Illumination will be heavily inspired by the critically acclaimed 1992 original. Players will be able to choose between four different characters, Priest, Witch, Hunter or Engineer, each of which has different weapons and abilities. As well as the single player campaign, Illumination will also include a co-operative mode. The game is being worked on by a brand new studio called Pure FPS. Let’s hope that this newest entry will be better than the 2008 reboot.
Alone in the Dark: Illumination is due out on PC later this year.
