The popular PC DRM platform Steam has released this morning a web series for PAYDAY the video game. This series was a live action miniseries published on June 2013 and listed on the official 505 Games YouTube channel – the series had a total of 6 episodes.
Typically Steam doesn’t really put Web Series or movies on the service much, so this is interesting. Could there be a whole new category coming that will allow publishers to bring us more live action or animated movie/miniseries type content like this?
One thing that I thought was strange – videos on the 505 Games YouTube channel state “PAYDAY 2” yet no other source does, not even the wiki page. It is still interesting nonetheless to see a web series become available on Steam – even if it did take 2 years.
More to the point, apparently Steam has a stream video thing that I had no idea about – hmm nice!
Anyway, you can check out the PAYDAY: The Web Series either on Steam here or on the 505 Games YouTube channel here. For some reason 505 games don’t have a specific playlist for the web series. Not sure why.
