Persona fans were celebrating last night as Atlus revealed that the next game in the series won’t be a PlayStation 3 exclusive. At Sony’s Pre-TGS press conference, the publisher showed off a new trailer for Persona 5 and announced that the game is also coming to PlayStation 4. Both versions are set to launch in 2015 in Japan and North America. So far there is no word on a European release date.
As with most Atlus games, it is likely that Persona 5 will be released in Europe much later than in the other 2 major markets. This is due to the need to translate their games into so many languages. For example, the 3DS exclusive Shin Megami Tensie 4 was released in North America and Japan last summer. Yet it won’t be hitting European shores until later this month.
