Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers launches February 20, 2020 in Japan

According to ATLUS, Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will launch for PlayStation 4 and Switch on February 20, 2020, in Japan. Additionally, there’s going to be a Treasure Box edition as well which includes some goodies.

What’s Persona 5 Scramble About? DLC?

This Persona spinoff will bring a completely new story set after the events of Persona 5. Also, the game is a collaborative effort between the Persona Team at ATLUS and Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force. Do you want a summary of the game’s story? This is what happens according to the game’s website.

Half-a-year after the ending of Persona 5, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts get together for summer vacation, but get wrapped up in a new incident. Mystery cases are occurring all over Japan. Palaces, the cognitive worlds of warped adults, have returned? Donning their disguises once again, the Phantom Theives set out to resolve this new incident…

The game will also allow players to take on the role of Joker. However, he’s not alone. Why? because you’ll be able to play as the Phantom Thieves as well! Switch up characters to fight as the situation calls for it. Then, run through the cities full of Shadows with dynamic, Persona-summoning action.

Additionally, the game will launch with a special DLC pack which includes the BGM from the Persona series. That’s right, you can jam to the battle music from previous Persona games while you fight in Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers. The DLC includes the following background music:

Atlus also announced it will host the first official live stream for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers featuring live gameplay on November 4 at 20:00 JST. You will be able to watch it on YouTube and Twitter. Presenters include Chiaki Matsuzawa (MC), Mafia Kajita, Nobumichi Kumabe (Koei Tecmo Games director), and Daisuke Kaneda (Atlus producer).
