Fans of SEGA’s Phantasy Star Universe had better get their multi-player fix in quick. SEGA has announced that players will still be able to access the single-player portion of the game, but the multi-players servers will be going down in three months.

The servers will be going down on September 27, 2012. Phantasy Star Universe’s GM stated: “This was not an easy decision but there comes a time when we must consider the level of service and support we can provide for an ongoing game, and balance those concerns against preparing for the future, and providing you with new opportunities and new experiences.”

If players have paid their membership past the September, a posting on the Phantasy Star Universe message board states that a pro-rated refund should be issued.
