Pikmin for Nintendo 3DS will be Released in 2017

<p>A new side-scrolling <em>Pikmin <&sol;em>game is coming to the Nintendo 3DS in 2017&period; The announcement comes from today&&num;8217&semi;s Nintendo Direct&comma; where a bevy of 3DS-related announcements were made&period; An official title was not given to the game&comma; nor an exact release date&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The new <em>Pikmin <&sol;em>title looks to be very puzzle-oriented&comma; with different colour Pikmin being used to solve specific puzzles Captain Olimar runs into along the way&period; Red Pikmin will help get players across fiery areas&comma; while Blue Pikmin will help traverse underwater levels&period; Then there are the Yellow Pikmin&comma; which will help get to higher elevations for those hard-to-reach places&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Pikmin will not only help you through areas but will also be able to be used to take out enemies and carry treasures&period; They can be controlled as easily as just tapping the touchscreen while moving through the stages&period; It seems very simple&comma; but I&&num;8217&semi;m sure it will get very complicated as you maneuever through more puzzling situations&period; This is also a change of pace for the series&comma; which has never had a handheld-exclusive title&comma; nor a side-scrolling adventure&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>I&&num;8217&semi;m looking forward to seeing how the game turns out&comma; but knowing Nintendo&&num;8217&semi;s track record with puzzle games&comma; it will likely be a pretty fun title&period; We&&num;8217&semi;ll see when it&&num;8217&semi;s released in 2017 and gets an official title&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;watch&quest;v&equals;MUCcvWNRTl0">Nintendo Direct<&sol;a><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
