A brand-new trailer for the upcoming musical comedy Pitch Perfect 2 has been revealed.
The trailer opens with Anna Kendrick’s Beca Mitchell once again singing the renowned hit single from Pitch Perfect, “Cups” (based on A. P. Carter’s song “When I’m Gone”), but this time members from the collegiate a cappella Barden Bellas are joining in on the song.
Unfortunately for the Barden Bellas, they are participating in an international competition that no American team has emerged victorious in, although that doesn’t stop Mitchell from trash-talking her rivals at the event.
Of course, the trailer combines both the musical and comedy elements the first film is remembered for, and Mitchell and the Barden Bellas members offer a sneak peak at some of the entertainment people should be expecting in the sequel.
Starring Anna Kendrick, Anna Camp, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow, Pitch Perfect 2 is scheduled for release in the U.S. on May 15, 2015.
