Plague Inc: Evolved, a very popular disease strategy simulator on phones, PC and Xbox One, is coming to PS4 next week.
Having over 60 million players, Plague Inc: Evolved has you taking on the role of a disease and try to spread it across the world. To do this, you have to find a way to get past the defenses that humanity bring up. Grim, right? But many people have found it fun to play.
James Vaughan, the developer behind the game said in a press release, “The game has already been a massive success when it infected Steam – critics and fans alike have given the game high praise” While mentioning the PS4 port he said, “I’m particularly proud of how we’ve managed to make a strategy game work well on a console, and I’m very pleased to have this finally hitting PS4” as this was one of the “most requested things in the last few years at Ndemic [Creations],” the studio behind the game.
Plague Inc: Evolved features 10 different disease types (which include zombies, mind control, bacteria infections, and more), 20 different scenarios from an Ice Age to the Swine Flu, speed run modes, a Mega-Brutal difficulty, and custom plagues and world creations from the community.
The game (just Plague Inc) originally came out on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone in 2012 and ever since then, they have successfully crowdfunded a board game version and have released/will be releasing the Evolved version in 2016 for PC, Xbox One, and now PS4.
Plague Inc: Evolved is releasing on PS4 on May 31st on the North American and European PlayStation Stores.
