Nintendo has released a new system update for the Wii U which allows gamers to take advantage of a whole range of new features, albeit the best being that you can now play Wii games through the Wii U GamePad.

Granted, you are still required to use a Wii Remote/Nunchuck when playing the games but thanks to the built-in sensor bar, you can literally just place the Wii U GamePad on a stand and use it as another television set entirely.

The update also included sharing screenshots to social media websites, support for USB keyboards and automatic downloads for suggested software and demos through Nintendo’s SpotPass.
