If you find yourself thinking, “Didn’t I just update my PS3?”, don’t worry; you’re not having one of those Deja Vu moments. No, instead Sony released a new Firmware Update late last night for the system that they’re, for one reason or another, not making a big deal out of. Apparently, the update isn’t mandatory, but is said to ‘further improve overall system stability. A more detailed explanation of what the update actually does isn’t given though, which could be an indication of why Sony’s giving this update a low profile (it doesn’t do much?).

Still, I think that keeping my system stable would make it an important update to receive, but maybe I’m just paranoid like that.

PlayStation 3 Firmware Update 4.31 is Optional, but Recommended
