PlayStation 3 Firmware Update 4.31 is Optional, but Recommended

<p>If you find yourself thinking&comma; &&num;8220&semi;Didn&&num;8217&semi;t I just update my PS3&quest;&&num;8221&semi;&comma; don&&num;8217&semi;t worry&semi; you&&num;8217&semi;re not having one of those Deja Vu moments&period; No&comma; instead Sony released <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;community&period;us&period;playstation&period;com&sol;t5&sol;PlayStation-3-Support&sol;INFORMATION-Firmware-Update-4-31&sol;m-p&sol;38668061">a new Firmware Update late last night<&sol;a> for the system that they&&num;8217&semi;re&comma; for one reason or another&comma; not making a big deal out of&period; Apparently&comma; the update isn&&num;8217&semi;t mandatory&comma; but is said to &&num;8216&semi;further improve overall system stability&period;<strong> <&sol;strong>A more detailed explanation of what the update actually does isn&&num;8217&semi;t given though&comma; which could be an indication of why Sony&&num;8217&semi;s giving this update a low profile &lpar;it doesn&&num;8217&semi;t do much&quest;&rpar;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Still&comma; I think that keeping my system stable would make it an important update to receive&comma; but maybe I&&num;8217&semi;m just paranoid like that&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
