<p>Sony has updated PlayStation 3 owners with <a href="http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-3-Support/System-Software-Update-PS3-v-4-45-SCEA-Update/m-p/40721809#U40721809">news that a fix is coming</a> to those that find themselves with &#8216;bricked&#8217; PlayStation 3 systems, after updating it with the latest software update, version 4.45.</p>
<p>&#8220;We have identified the issue related to the PlayStation 3 software update (version 4.45) that impacted a small number of PS3 systems earlier this week,&#8221; reads the updated forum post. &#8220;A new PS3 system software update is planned to be released on June 27 that resolves the issue. Thank you for your patience and understanding and we apologize for the inconvenience.&#8221;</p>
<p>So, hey, it&#8217;s only a week you have to wait to use your PlayStation 3, should you be one of those unfortunate enough to have an unusable system. It&#8217;s not like there aren&#8217;t thousands of other things for you to do in the meantime, right?</p>
