We reported in the past that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance would see some DLC in the form of optional VR Missions, but no specific information had come up. Today, however, via the PlayStation Blog, we now know that the PS3 version of the game will receive 30 exclusive missions for Raiden to get some more use out of his Cyborg body.
As you may have already guessed, the VR Missions will test Raiden in combat, stealth and tactical maneuvers and are said to be inspired –appearance-wise– by the original Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions. Furthermore, players will be able to take control of Dwarf Gekko; who has been said to be a much loved/hated character in the Metal Gear Universe. The option to play as this character is currently being called a ‘twist’.
Pricing for the VR Missions are to be detailed at a later date, but Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is fast approaching its February 19th release date.
