PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Open Beta Slated for Fall 2012

<p>Sony announced today that PlayStation Plus members will receive special early-access to their beta of <em>PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale <&sol;em>later on this Fall&period; Following the early-access passes&comma; the game will be entering open beta for all PlayStation users to test out&period; No specific dates have been set quite yet&comma; but if you keep an eye on the <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;blog&period;us&period;playstation&period;com">PlayStation Blog<&sol;a>&comma; you&&num;8217&semi;re bound to find out in the coming weeks&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>For those that may not know what this mouthful of a title is going to be&comma; it will be very similar to the extremely popular Nintendo series of <em>Super Smash Bros <&sol;em>games&period; Lucky for PlayStation fans&comma; PSASBR will operate in a similar fashion as <em>Super Smash Bros&comma; <&sol;em>in that players will be able to choose a character that has been made popular via the PlayStation-specific platform &lpar;including Kratos&comma; Sly Cooper&comma; and Colonal Radec&comma; to name a few&rpar; and fight against other players or AI opponents&period; It&&num;8217&semi;s also certainly worth mentioning that players will be able to perform cross-platform matches between the PS3 version and the PS Vita version of the game&comma; so you&&num;8217&semi;re free to take your fights on the road&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Although <em>PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale <&sol;em>may not be as catchy as <em>Super Smash Bros&comma; <&sol;em>it&&num;8217&semi;s probably safe to say that the majority of PS users will be very happy with this upcoming title&comma; so keep an eye out for it&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
