You Will Be Able To Play Over 400 PS3 Games On PC With PlayStation Now At Some Point

Those waiting to play PlayStation 3 exclusives on their PC are in luck as PlayStation Now is coming to the platform, Sony has announced on the PlayStation Blog. There will also be a wireless adaptor for the DualShock 4 that will be available for purchase.

Sony recommends these specs in order to run the streaming service as well as a minimum 5MB/s connection.

For optimal performance, the company recommends a wired connection. No release date has been given for the streaming service yet, but it will first come to European territories and then North America shortly afterwards.

PlayStation Now is a streaming service that allows people to play PS3 games through Gaikai’s cloud technology. Major titles on PlayStation Now include the Uncharted series, the Ratchet & Clank PS3 entries, and The Last of Us. The service now has over 400 games in its catalog from indies like Rainbow Moon and Slender: The Arrival to major franchises such as Resident Evil and the Final Fantasy XIII instalments.

A USB adapter for the DualShock 4 was also announced, which allows for wireless connectivity on PC and Mac. With it, players can use the buttons, analog sticks, touch pad, light bar, motion sensors, vibration, and stereo headset jack from the DualShock 4 controller if the software that you’re running supports it. It will be available for $24.99 ($29.99 CAD). If you don’t mind a wired connection with a USB cord, that will work as well.

PlayStation Now is currently available on PS4, Vita, PS3 and certain smart TV makes. You can find out more details on the official website. The payment model is $19.99 per month or $44.99 for 3 months. There is also a free 7-day trial for PlayStation Now. Sony have recently updated the service with 12 more RPG’s, which include The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, Child of Light, and Eternal Sonata.
