PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Mobile and Wonderbook

If four new IPs weren’t enough to get you excited for the PlayStation offerings to come then…. I really can’t help you! If, however, you are hoping for something a little more substantial in the PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Mobile or Wonderbook department, then we have you covered.

PlayStation Plus has gone from strength to strength in the past few months. Cloud saving, high discounts and automatic updates were always there, but Sony has outdone themselves with their Instant Game Collection that offers free, full-retail games for PS Plus subscribers. They’re continuing this generosity with a host of improvements to come.

Firstly, the cloud saving storage space will be increased to 1GB—over six times larger than the current space. You’ll be able to back up some of those hefty save files (I’m looking at you, Skyrim) with ease.

It was also announced that Red Dead Redemption will be joining the Instant Game Collection, and this is an incredible deal for everybody. If you’ve not played Red Dead Redemption, we recommend picking up one of the PS Plus plans as soon as possible, the subscription pays for itself with all the free content and discounts on offer.

PlayStation Mobile isn’t letting the team down either, with a selection of new games heading its way, Sony is supporting the mobile space handsomely. Here are some of the titles to come with PlayStation Mobile

And finally, Sony announced a grand partnership with BBC Worldwide and Disney for the Wonderbook. This new partnership will offer brand new content for the Wonderbook, such as interactive BBC documentaries, and some of your favorite Disney creations.

A new game titled, “Diggs Nightcrawler” will be heading to Wonderbook in the near future, and this interesting detective game will allow you to manipulate the game world using the Wonderbook system.

So there you have it! Sony stole the show at Gamescom. PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation Move owners have a lot to look forward to. Group this together with titles such as, The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls and God of War: Ascension and your PlayStation 3 will be seeing a lot of use in 2013.
