Pokémon Go: 5 Weirdest Places To Catch Pokémon

(POKEMON GO - NINTENDO)

BEFORE YOU READ: The following feature article is meant to amuse readers with ridiculous locations that Pokémon characters have been found or may be found while enjoying Pokémon Go. Not all locations necessarily represent a real-world place where Pokémon have been found. CartelPress.com has been found to be publishing false articles about Pokémon Go mishaps—the freeway accident is just one of them. We at BagoGames value providing accurate and honest news and information, and will continue to do our best to remain open and honest. Please enjoy the original article below.

Everyone and their mother is currently fiddling around with Pokémon Go, myself included. To be honest I didn’t think that I was going to enjoy the game at all, and that I’d just be wasting memory on my phone. The 12-year-old in me is extremely happy that I was wrong, and so is the 37-year-old me. I have found out that, through my experiences with the game, there are some very weird places to catch a Pokémon. In my opinion, these are the five weirdest:

5) Shoulder of a Freeway

(POKEMON – cartelpress.com)

This one I experienced myself while on my way home from work one night. There I was at three in the morning driving with my Pokémon Go app open to see how good the map actually was. As I sped by a mile-marker on the side of the road, I saw leaves rustle in the game—a sign that lets trainers know there is a Pokémon to be found there. Who in their right mind would stop on the side of the highway to get a Pokémon? Not me, I don’t want to end up on Unsolved Mysteries, but it does pose the question of safety. Some people just don’t have common sense, and I’m sure one evening I’ll see a trainer out there trying to grab a Squirtle.

4) Funeral Home

(POKEMON GO – NINTENDO)

Many people on this earth have no form of self-control or restraint. Thankfully I’ve not been to a funeral home or funeral in many, many years, and I’d like to keep it that way. I would never think to pull my phone out during a service, much less play a game while someone I knew was being given their final send off. Yet a quick Google search showed me people catching Pokémon right next to the coffin of their loved ones. Let’s hope they find a Ghastly there that haunts them for awhile, like in this certain Pokémon Ghost Black game.

3) Prison

(POKEMON – GAME GRUMPS)

I’m pretty sure that prisoners will not have access to this game, but prison guards or visitors might. It would be neat to see some pics of a Ghastly or a Abra in solitary confinement. Or perhaps a bunch of Pokémon out in the yard while the prisoners play cards and lift weights. Nothing says childhood memories like murderers and prison right? I hope clever prison guards get some nice shots of Pokémon in the clink. Hopefully they won’t inadvertently release El Chapo again though.

2) Hospital

(POKEMON GO – NINTENDO)

I’ll admit that when there were some serious health issues with a loved one of mine in the hospital, I took my DS to pass the time and keep my mind off what was happening. This was before Pokémon Go, but I just don’t know if running around the hospital in search of a Mewtwo is the smartest idea. I can see plugs getting tripped over, operations being interrupted,  and wacky broken bone shots. You may even get to see your child being brought into this world as you catch a Pidgey. The choices are endless.

1) Strip Club

(POKEMON GO – NINTENDO)

Since a majority of original Pokémon players are not adults, it would makes sense that they take their childhood pastime to more adult locales—the titty bar being one of them. I guess you’ll never know when a Squirtle will pop out of nowhere right? Better be prepared and have your app ready at the local strip club so that you can catch all the Pokémon and all the venereal diseases too. “Gotta catch ’em all!”, even though there isn’t a cure for them all.

Did I miss a spot? What’s the weirdest place you’ve caught a Pokémon? Let me know in the comments.
