Pokemon to be Japan’s Mascot for 2014 World Cup

The 2014 World Cup being held in Brazil this year will see some friendly Pokemon faces from the Land of the Rising Sun. Japan has chosen Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Chespin, Charmander and other Pokemon to be featured on their football (soccer) team’s uniforms and be the official mascots. With Pikachu attending the tournament, audiences are pretty much guaranteed to see some sparks on the field. The 2014 World Cup will be held from June 12 – July 13.
