A lovely way to start your week is with one fantastic news story featuring Pokémon X & Y details and another featuring Magikarp. Is there any better way to start your Monday?
In regards to Pokémon X & Y, it has emerged that Pokémon Smash will be sharing details on the game during their show later this week and that CoroCoro, a Japanese magazine well known for releasing Pokémon details, will also shed details. It is believed however that these details in CoroCoro are likely to leak around Wednesday.
Unfortunately we won’t be receiving the amazing gift our fellow Japanese Pokémon fans are getting; a shiny (read: GOLDEN) Magikarp is going to be distributed through the Pokémon Center store in Nagoya which will be holding a Rare Candy and will be level 99.
The main question is, obviously, do you evolve it and get a common red Gyrados or do you level that ‘Karp up and take on the Elite Four with a golden Magikarp which knows Flail, Hydro Pump, Bounce, and (the most powerful move in the game) Splash. Fantastic.
