Pokemon Sun and Moon Officially Announced

Hello BagoNation!

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Pokemon, and Nintendo celebrated the occasion with a Nintendo Direct video officially announcing the newest entries in the mainline Pokemon series: Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.

Ishihara, of The Pokemon Company, gave the presentation and introduced a video which highlighted the various iterations of Pokemon throughout the last 20 years. The video showed players from around the world playing Pokemon throughout the generations, and put a heavy emphasis on the word “Connect”. The video ended with the announcement of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, claiming a holiday 2016 release date.

Ishihara then returned and pointed out two other important features of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. The first is that The Pokemon Company has added two more languages to the game (Chinese Traditional and Chinese Simplified). The second is the announcement that players of the new re-releases of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow on the 3DS Virtual Console (which become available tomorrow on the Nintendo eShop) will be able to transfer their pokemon to the new Sun and Moon games via the Pokemon Bank.

Little else is known about Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon at this time, but be sure to stick with BagoGames for all of your Pokemon news!
