<p>Quite a number of details regarding <em>Pokémon X and Y</em> were given during the Pokémon themed Nintendo Direct earlier today. If you&#8217;re a Pokémon fan, I think it&#8217;s safe to say both Nintendo and Game Freak have you covered.</p>
<ul>
<li>Pokémon Bank &#8211; A new service created to give you even more storage for your Pokémon, Pokémon Bank will allow players to store up to 3,000 Pokémon on the internet (or cloud). This 3DS app will support <em>Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2</em>. There is a small annual fee tied to the bank that is said to support maintenance of the server.</li>
<li>Poké Transporter &#8211; This app will make transferring Pokémon from <em>Black, White, Black 2 and White 2</em> easier, but cannot be downloaded without downloading the Pokémon Bank first. This two apps together allows players to move Pokémon from the aforementioned games to the Pokémon Bank, then to your copy of <em>Pokémon X and Y</em>.</li>
<li>Pokémon Starters &#8211; In a neat twist for the series, the Pokémon Professor in <em>X and Y</em> will not give you a choice between Fennekin, Chespin and Froakie &#8211;that decision comes from your player character&#8217;s close friend. The Professor, at one point in the game, will offer you a choice between some old favorites to take along in your journey. Old favorites like Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle. I mean, <a title="Pokémon X and Y Nintendo Direct Set for Tomorrow" href="https://bagogames.com/pokemon-x-y-nintendo-direct-set-tomorrow/">did I call it or what</a>? When your Kanto starter hits their final evolution, they&#8217;ll then be able to Mega Evolve, but only when the player has the Mega Ring and the Pokémon has the Mega Stone.</li>

<li>Finally, Nintendo announced a pair of special 3DS&#8217; for Pokémon X and Y that come in special Blue and Red designs. These systems will launch ahead of the game on September 27th.</li>
