Pokémon X & Y will be receiving an upcoming event in Japan, with none other than Pokémon’s mascot up for offer, Pikachu.
Serebii confirmed that the official name of the event is ‘Pikachu Outbreakchu’ and it will held at Minato Mirai park.
Running from August 9th to August 17th 2014, the Pikachu receives a special nickname depending on the specific area the Trainer downloads the Pokémon from. Additionally, Pikachu’s official moveset has been released, making it one Pokémon event that Japanese players won’t want to miss out on: Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Surf and Hold Hands (it will also be holding the item Air Balloon).
Along with the confirmation of this event, Pokémon Battle of Legends Online Competition has officially started today, which features every Pokémon from Kanto to Kalos available for selection (the only Pokémon excluded from this competition is Diancie).
