<p>It&#8217;s only been two days since 3DS owners were able to embark upon the next exciting Pokémon adventure in the new X and Y versions of the popular franchise, however <a class="zem_slink" title="Nintendo" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=34.991675,135.766294444&;spn=0.01,0.01&;q=34.991675,135.766294444 (Nintendo)&;t=h" target="_blank" rel="geolocation">Nintendo</a> has announced that the title has sold over 4 million units worldwide already!</p>
<p>Whilst this is a fantastic number, X and Y didn&#8217;t manage to clinch the top spot in the <a href="https://bagogames.com/uk-format-chart-pokemon-xy-cant-catch-top-spot/" target="_blank">UK All Format Charts</a> even though many UK retailers started selling the game a day earlier. Although this was a global release (<span class="GINGER_SOFATWARE_noSuggestion GINGER_SOFATWARE_correct">ish</span>), Nintendo has done some math and worked out that these figures mean <a class="zem_slink" title="Pokémon X and Y" href="http://www.pokemon.com/pokemonxy/en-us" target="_blank" rel="homepage">Pokémon X and Y</a> are effectively the fastest-selling <a class="zem_slink" title="List of Nintendo 3DS games" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nintendo_3DS_games" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia">3DS games</a> of all time.</p>
