Pokémon XY Anime Promo Reveals New Characters

<p>A promotional video posted on <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;user&sol;TVTOKYO&sol;videos">TV Tokyo&&num;8217&semi;s YouTube Channel<&sol;a> earlier today reveals some of the new characters in <em>Pocket Monsters XY<&sol;em>&comma; which will run under the title <em>Pokémon the Series&colon; XY<&sol;em> in America&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>First up are the brother-sister duo of Citron &lpar;Clemont in English&rpar; and Eureka &lpar;Bonnie in English&rpar; voiced by Yuki Kaji and Mariya Ise&comma; respectively&period; Citron is a Gym Leader as well as an inventor &&num;8212&semi; which explains his large glasses and enormous backpack&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Also introduced is Serena&comma; voiced by Mayuki Makiguchi&comma; who appears to know Satoshi &lpar;Ash&rpar; from before even the original <em>Pokémon<&sol;em> series&period; <em>Is it just me&comma; or does that flashback sequence almost seem a little romantic&quest;<&sol;em> Serena is based on the playable female protagonist of the X &amp&semi; Y games&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The official Japanese anime website has also been updated with a <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;tv-tokyo&period;co&period;jp&sol;anime&sol;pokemon&lowbar;xy&sol;index2&period;html">new poster<&sol;a> and <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;tv-tokyo&period;co&period;jp&sol;anime&sol;pokemon&lowbar;xy&sol;chara&sol;">character profiles<&sol;a>&period; Note the inclusion of Mega Lucario and Mega Blaziken at the top of the poster&comma; suggesting that Mega Evolutions will be prominently featured at some point in the series&comma; as they are in the X &amp&semi; Y video games&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><em>Are you interested in the new Pokémon series&quest;<&sol;em><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<div class&equals;"zemanta-pixie" style&equals;"margin-top&colon; 10px&semi; height&colon; 15px&semi;"><img class&equals;"zemanta-pixie-img" style&equals;"border&colon; none&semi; float&colon; right&semi;" src&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;img&period;zemanta&period;com&sol;pixy&period;gif&quest;x-id&equals;bd6714c0-9c52-40e0-950c-3787db244fa8" alt&equals;"" &sol;><&sol;div>&NewLine;
