Prey 2 Comes To an End at Bethesda

<p>After four years of development&comma; <em>Prey 2<&sol;em> has finally been brought to an end by Bethesda&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Speaking with CNET&comma; Bethesda vice president Pete Hines elaborated that&comma; &&num;8220&semi;It was game we believed in&comma; but we never felt that it got to where it needed to be &&num;8211&semi; we never saw a path to success if we finished it&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Prey 2<&sol;em>&comma; the sequel to a 2006 2K Games Xbox 360 and PC title&comma; was announced in 2011&period; The game was delayed in 2012 following initial rumors of cancelation&period; In May 2013&comma; new rumors emerged that development had moved from Human Head to Obsidian and then finally to <em>Dishonored<&sol;em> developer Arkane’s Austin location&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The company&&num;8217&semi;s since eluded to the series not being dead yet&comma; but for now the series will apparently see an indefinite retirement&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Via<&sol;strong> <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;cnet&period;com&sol;news&sol;bethesda-confirms-prey-2-cancelled&sol;">CNET<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
