The publisher has announced today that Prey 2 has not been cancelled, but the release date has been pushed back to 2013 due to quality issues.

Prey 2, the promising first-person shooter has reportedly been cancelled, according to an inside source.
Dutch site PS Focus claims to have knowledge that Bethesda has told developer Human Head to stop all work on Prey 2 and that an official announcement will come next week.
The Prey 2 presentation for the Game Developer’s Conference, held in San Francisco, was cancelled just a few weeks before the start of the conference adds some validity to the cancellation claim.
Human Head lead programmer, Brian Karis, tweeted: “Yes, Zenimax forced us to pull all Prey 2 related talks from GDC. I’m pretty devastated by the news. This was to be my first conf talk.”
Bethesda has declined comment. Stay tuned here as we’ll post any new developments.
