A couple weeks ago, a forum user posted a supposedly “leaked” screenshot from an in-development game on the Ubisoft website. The title of the screenshot is “POP_ZERO_2” which could indicate the title of the game, as well as the possibility of more screenshots from the same batch, with this one being number two in the series.
“POP” is fairly obvious when dealing with Ubisoft, as the Prince of Persia series of games were fairly popular among gamers, even though they stopped releasing titles after 2010, when they backed a controversial and overall unpopular movie: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. “ZERO” can be speculated as being the internal title of the game, as a former Ubisoft art director was quoted in 2010 as saying that Prince of Persia Zero was the internal title for a previous game.
A Ubisoft representative recently stated that “Ubisoft does not comment on rumors and speculation,” so there is no telling whether the screen is from the next game in the Prince of Persia series or not.
