Sony announced today that they will be performing scheduled maintenance on the PlayStation Network starting at 4:00 P.M. (BST) on Thursday, July 26. The downtime is scheduled until 8:00 A.M. (BST) on Friday, July 27. During this time, players will be unable to use a few of their PSN services, including:
- PlayStation Network Account Registration
- PlayStation Network Account Management
- PlayStation Store (Both on PS3 and PSP)
EU players will also be unable to sign in to the PlayStation Network via eu.playstation.com. However, Sony has stated that if players sign in to the network before the maintenance starts, they may be able to continue playing online through the downtime. If you are unable to play online during the maintenance, don’t even sweat it. Any trophies collected while offline will be updated with your profile once the network is back online.
