FUNimation has acquired the rights to release the Psycho-Pass movie in North American theaters. The film will be released in North America sometime in 2016.
Originally premiering in Japan in January 2015, this anime science fiction crime film is from Production I.G., and is based on the anime, Psycho-Pass by Gen Urabuchi.
In a future dystopia, 4 years after Shinya Kogami disappears and Shogo Makishima dies, the Japanese government wants to export the Sibyl System tech to other countries. A civil war breaks out in the South East Asia Union and the terrorists begin to appear in Japan, so Akane Tsunemori and her team must investigate!
