We’ve been waiting on an announcement for Quantum Break for over a year now since developer Remedy Entertainment announced its Gamescom presence. Now we know that we’ll at least know when it’s coming out, according to Xbox’s own Phil Spencer.
The Xbox head took to Twitter to clarify that a due date will indeed be among the things that Remedy’s announcements will include at this year’s Gamescom.

Nothing more than that’s known for now and whether or not the date will be anything more specific than a general month remains to be seen. The game was delayed a year past its slated 2015 release window last year to 2016.
Remedy showed us a variety of Quantum Break‘s mind-bending chaos last fall, though nothing too heavy on story thus far. Gamescom 2015 will run from Aug. 5th through the 8th.
